Buccaneer's Playoff Scenario

With the Falcon's untimely loss to the Saints 17 to 14,  it looks like the Buccaneers will need  a little help from some friends,  the Bears and the Redskins, to make it to the playoffs  this season.

The Bears need to win against the Packers.   The Redskins have to beat the Giants.   The Bucs will also have to go against the Saints to make the playoffs.

We're keeping our fingers and toes crossed.   Are You Ready For Some Football?!

Bucs Dominate and Keep Playoff Dreams Alive

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, 38-15,  to keep their playoff hopes alive.  The last game the Bucs played they got pushed, well, this time, they pushed back.   HARD.

It was a dominating performance on all sides.  Though injury ridden, the defensive line was able to stop the runs.   The secondary was able to stop the passes.   Even the special teams chipped in, with a 79 yard kick return by Micheal Spurlock.

It was the offense's time to shine, and Josh Freeman led the way with 237 yards on 21 of  26 passing (80.8%)  for a career high 5 touchdown passes.

Kellen Winslow Jr. had 98 yards and 2 touchdowns and rookie Mike Williams had 44 yards and 2 touchdowns which puts him closer to 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns for the season.

Rookie LeGarrette Blount was unstoppable as he ran for 164 yards on 18 carries, (9.1) yards per carry, with highlights of 20,48.  Taking a small page out of Mike Alstott's book, in a 53 yard run, Blount flies over the head of a lunging defensive player and Just.  Keeps.  Running!  This puts him that much closer to 1000 yards, 6 touchdowns.

If they can do it, Williams and Blount could be the first rookie teammates since 1968 with  1000 yards each, rushing and receiving in a season.  Their futures look very bright.

The Bucs Win Again!

Sunday the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wailed on the Carolina Panthers until they just gave up.  The Bucs won 31-16 without hardly breaking a sweat.  They thought that little bout with the Atlanta Falcons last week hurt us, but no, we come back hard and strong.

That’s what she said.

Josh Freeman fifty-yard-linecompleted 18 passes for 241 yards with no interceptions.

Cadillac Williams has been a little lackluster this year.  Well, he made up for it with an awesome 45 yard run for the touchdown on third-and-10 near the end of the fourth quarter.  He finally found that opening and went for it.

Check out what nfl.com has to say about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

We may be the youngest team on the block but we’ve got spirit, yes we do!
